• With buyers you approve: When you share documents or approve a buyer's NDA, they gain access to the business information you choose to share through the Platform.
• Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the Platform, including Resend (email), Stripe (payments), DigitalOcean (hosting), and Unsplash (stock photos). These providers access your data only as needed to perform their services.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of Built Equity, user data may be transferred as part of the transaction.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure password hashing, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account closure:

• Your data is archived and retained for three (3) years for legal and compliance purposes
• After three years, data is permanently deleted
• You may request immediate deletion at any time by contacting support@builtequity.com

• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
